How to use AI Assistants and generate interactive content with them?

You can use AI to create engaging worksheets for your students, along with other materials that can be helpful for you or your colleagues. But how can you do this on Redmenta? Let’s explore all the details!

What is an AI assistant? On Redmenta, there are many different AI assistants that can help you in creating content for teaching and learning. Each assistant is designed to support specific, time-consuming tasks such as generating personalised student activities. These assistants can create worksheets for tests, gamified quizzes, role-playing games, problem-based activities aligned to different curricula, or even interactive worksheets with a chatbot that tutors students one-on-one. Additionally, there are different types of assistants designed for lesson planning, text levelling, email drafting and other administrative tasks.

With AI, you can create worksheets in Redmenta in several ways:

• By selecting the Generate worksheet option under the Create new button.

• By clicking the Generate Assignment button at the top of the Desktop menu.

• By choosing AI Tools from the menu on the left.

All of these options take you to the AI Tools page, where you can choose the category in which you want to create content.

Within each category, you will find the AI assistants. Select the assistant that best fits your teaching goal by clicking the Start button. This takes you to the interface where you can provide the necessary information for the AI.

After choosing an assistant, you can further personalize its settings by selecting a specific curriculum, subject, grade level, content language, and by setting competencies/learning outcomes.

Next, you can enter the assistant-specific information in the displayed fields, such as source materials or task difficulty. These inputs vary by assistant, depending on the type of worksheet it helps create. If you are unsure what to enter, click the Example button to see sample inputs.

You can also upload images, documents, audio files, or videos as references for the AI by clicking Add attachment, and you can set the difficulty level as well.

Once you have provided all the required information, click the Start button. This opens a chat interface where you can interact with the AI assistant. The assistant may generate a worksheet draft right away, or it may ask follow-up questions to better tailor the content. Treat this like a conversation. Share your ideas, and the assistant adjusts the content to your needs.

The AI assistant generates an outline. Keep in mind that this outline is only a draft. You can refine it further through the conversation, for example by asking for different task types or a more challenging version. You can also edit the outline manually by clicking the Edit button.

When you are satisfied with the worksheet outline, click the Bring it to life button.

This is where the AI-generated outline becomes a live worksheet that you and your students can fully use. After clicking Bring it to life, the assistant creates the live worksheet and redirects you to the Preview page, where you can view and test the worksheet from the student’s perspective.
